Disney Trip Days 4 and 5

Disney trip days 4 and 5
Well I am now on over the hump of my trip. thank God! I can not wait to get home. I miss my husband, my friends, and I am just so lonely!

anyway So lets start with day four when I finely make it to the Magic Kingdom.

I loved the magic kingdom. in fact I tried to make a vlog while I was there but that didn't work out so well. But I went on the tea cups, visited the Tikki Room and went on the Jungle tour. but most importantly I met several of the Disney Princesses. That was more fun then it ought to have been I mean the Princesses aren't real, and the girls are just actresses but you know what it is still fun. they are good and sweet. enjoying the fact that they get to play this part as much as I enjoy playing make believe with them. And there were all these little girls walking around in little princess dresses. they made me jealous. So It is decided if I ever come to Disney land or world again i am Cos-playing. Geek? Gladly, Nerd? Proudly.

Sadly Ms. Havisham was not impressed and couldn't understand why I didn't go on any of the rides. In her mind I didn't do anything, even though I had all day to wonder. She just doesn't understand that for me Disney world means something different, then it means to her.

So Day 5 I went to see the hobbit. Finely I have seen the movie i have been waiting a whole year to see. Let me just say I went in with low expectations, The Return of the king had so many bad parts in it that I was worried that Jackson was going to kick me in the teeth. I do a longer blog post about this latter let me just say for now that I loved it.

I hurried back to the resort as quickly as possible because Ms. Havisham had expressed a desire to go to Epcot. when I got back Ms. Havisham and Blanche where both still in their PJ's and had decided that they were not really that interested in going to a park. So Is pent the afternoon knitting. then I took Blanche to dinner. And that was the worse Mexican food I've had at a Restaurant. And some of the worse conversation. Blanche and I were talking and I didn't know if I crossed a line in the conversation but suddenly she rhetoricly hit me with a newspaper and told me to shut up. I didn't know how to respond, so that ended any speaking with her. I really wish I was going home tomorrow.

Disney Trip day 3

Disney trip Day Three
Ugggghhh. as I think over everything that happened yesterday, ugh. So Nothing much happened on Day two, it was kind of nice I just did some walking, driving around, and getting to know Blanche a little bit. -let me just say this I am glad, so glad that Blanche is hear.
even though I am not particularly found of her. she has shown that she has several of those little idiosyncrasies that are associated with the lower-upper class or Upper-Middle class. but she is nice and is good at showing appreciation, which is again nice. (oh and she doesn't like UK Sports which does encourage good will)
On to the Crazy which was yesterday. For the most part it was fine. I was the only one up till about noon and I really like this time sense it is the only time when I feel free to be myself and I do get a lot done.
But in the early afternoon the false tranquility was broken. the funny thing I was on the phone with my mother at the time. Ms. Havisham recently purchased a new I-pad, the new I-pads have a new power cord, which I didn't know. I also didn't know that Ms. Havisham hadn't taken the time to change out her cords. The cord to her old I-pad was in the same place as the new one. Well I grabbed the first cord I saw. Any way from how Ms. Havisham acted it was either because I am stupid or I maliciously wanted to make her life miserable. interesting time for my mother to be listening in on the phone, Don't you think?
Anyway a good thing came out of the whole thing. Once again my mother showed me how much she loves me, I am so grateful for my mother.
It wouldn't bother me so much when this happens if she would thank me when I fix my mistakes, or even apologies for yelling at me. anyway the day continues....
last night we went to The ESPN restaurant and a piano bar called Jelly Rolls. But first ESPN: I am not a big sports person. I like Football, baseball and hockey. Ms. Havisham likes basketball. and not just any basketball, she likes UK Basketball. She is a fanatic about it. screaming at the top of her lungs in a restaurant, where the main game on the screen is not UK Basketball but Detroit vs St. Louis Hockey. It's funny that she has said that she thinks she can convert me to liking UK when she makes me embarrassed to be a t the restaurants with her, when watching it. That was not the only thing that embarrassed me at this restaurant. Ms. Havisham loves to complain. She's always cold, or has heart burn, or something else is always wrong. I'm pretty sure it is so she can be the center of attention. anyway this night while the food was good she complained about how the dish her food was brought to her in was covered with a paper, which she had cut through and was convinced she was eating the paper. (really it had just bunched up as she ate and ripped the paper.) But then she had to say things like "I don't know what they do this, it is so silly," over and over again. because she says everything at least three times usually more.
So at Jelly Rolls. this place was not what I expected. I figured it would be a place that had several tables and a dance floor where people would social dance to music from before 1980. this is what Ms. Havisham led me to believe. it was mostly standing room, music from any time, and loud. at first I was annoyed. I didn't really like most of the poppy music the piano players were playing. Then I was very sad. very quickly they started to play songs that were on rock band which my friends and I haven't played in forever it feels like. I realized that this was a place i would have a lot of fun if my friends where with me. the best point was when they started playing country which I like, but Ms. Havisham and Blanche hate so it was time to go.
one last note, Ms Havisham is a terrible navigator. from here on out I will have my own directions so I don't have to rely on her bad directions.

Trip To Disney Day One

So guys, I promise I am not taking another vacation from blogging. Work got crazy, real crazy and i have the terrible tendency to carry the stress of the people around me. (one time I had someone else's anxiety attack.) Please don't tell me how I shouldn't do that, unless you know a way to not do it I really don't want to hear about it.

Anyway work right now might be full of fun exploits because I'm in Disney World. Some of this fun might be be making fun of Ms Havisham (No I'm not stupid enough to put my boss's real name here.) and her friend, Blanche (yes also a fake name). or you know explaining my annoyance at things that happen because Ms. Havisham sometimes forgets that she is a genteel Southern lady and not a thirteen year old brat. I'll be tweeting stuff when I have internet access under the hash tag #disneytrip

anyway so Day One. Well, I found out that Blanche sucks at giving directions. it was easy, just keep going straight. Some how that was latter turned to You must have turned right go back and try again which lead to an unfortunate u-turn that ended up with me in a muddy ditch in a Lexus. yes Ladies and Gentlemen I tried to go off road-ing in a Lexus. I don't recommend it. Lucky for me God was looking out for me and sent to knights in armor of muddy jeans and riding a grey SUV to save me from the muddy construct.

However she is not the only one who gives bad directions, Ms. Havisham is too busy lighting a cancer stick to make sure that I know where I am going. Seriously at one point her answer for going the wrong was was simply "make a u-turn." me "But it says no U-turns" her "well everyone gets lost in Disney it doesn't matter make one anyway."

The last thing about day one of this trip, I get that smokers are addicted to nicotine, and while it is disgusting I usually feel slightly bad for them that there are less and less places for them to smoke in public areas. what I can't stand is a Chain smoker who has no respect for a non smoker. we have had the rental car only a few hours and it already reeks. we've been in the room (a none smoking room at a resort that has designated smoking areas) and it already smells in the main room even though she has only smoked on the balcony. I can't imagine how it will smell at the end of ten days. And she seems to think that getting fabreez will fix the whole thing. the worst thing about smokers is they have no idea how bad they smell.

Well that is all for now
God Speed and Open roads.

Fave Five January

I'm back everybody, did you miss me? I heard from a couple of you during IWSG, I'm sad that I  missed that but there will be next month. ( I think I will miss April's IWSG too because I think it falls during Holy week and I will be taking that off as well this year.) My Christmas was busy Lots of stuff, fun stuff, and not so fun stuff (I got sick). it is sad that I now have to take down the Christmas decorations, but with the Christmas Season over it is time to move into the Season of Epiphany.
okay so ready for this weeks Fave Five?

1. Epiphany

The feast of epiphany commemorates the arrival of the wise men at Bethlehem. it is one of my favorite feast days. it includes blessing of water and Praying against the powers of darkness.

okay if you are not a geek who also plays DND you wont get this but it is an awesome comic with stick figure type characters. also the writer Rich had to take time off because he hurt his hand real bad. I am so glad he has gotten better and is back. I have missed it.

I am in the process of replaying this game and it is still as much fun as I remember. This is a tower game where you are being attacked by zombies and the way you protect your house from them is that you plant plants called pea shooters and such to kill the zombies. the plants are so cute. it is just a really fun game and easy.

My husband sent this to me a couple of days ago and it did something that I had been longing for. My friends and family know that I have struggled with my weight. Reading this article took that burden off my shoulders because it isn't me who have a problem it is society. (I may do a full blog post on this latter)

I just finished watching the first season of this show. Sadly my tablet is not playing nice with the show's web sight so I won't be able to watch the second season  till it is available on Netflix but that is okay.

Well that does it for today, till next time God Speed and Open Roads.
